Prevon

Switch to Prevon

Import your Notion pages into Prevon

Export your Notion workspace as Markdown & CSV, then point Prevon at the zip or the unzipped folder. Every page becomes one note, filed in the folder it sat in, with its images and files attached, and each is encrypted on your device during the import.

How to get your notes out

What Prevon reads: A Notion “Markdown & CSV” export zip

  1. In Notion, open Settings and choose to export all workspace content — or use Export on a single page.
  2. Pick Markdown & CSV as the format and include subpages.
  3. Download the zip. In Prevon, choose Import, pick Notion, and select the zip or the folder you unzipped it into.

What comes across, and what doesn't

Comes across

  • One note per page, with page titles cleaned of Notion’s ID suffix
  • The page hierarchy, as folders
  • Headings, lists, checkboxes, tables, code blocks and quotes as Markdown
  • Tags, from a page’s Tags property and from inline #tags in the text
  • Created and last-edited dates, when the page carries them as properties
  • Images and files the page links to, when they are in the export
  • Callout blocks, kept as written and flagged in the report because Notion exports them as raw HTML

Stays behind

  • Dates on ordinary pages — Notion’s Markdown export only includes them where a page has date properties
  • Other database properties as structured fields; database rows arrive as pages and CSV files
  • Comments, permissions and anything that only exists inside Notion’s app

What happens after you point Prevon at it

The import reads your export on your device and encrypts each note there before it is stored. Nothing is uploaded, and the original export is left exactly as it was — the import reads files, it never edits or deletes them.

When it finishes you get a report: how many notes came in, which folders were re-created, and every file it skipped with the reason. Nothing is dropped silently.

Run the same import again later and it updates the notes that changed instead of creating duplicates, so you can keep using your old app while you decide.
